Reserving a raffle ticket

How do I get raffle tickets?

You reserve them on the raffle page. Reserving costs nothing and is not a purchase: it tells the organisation running the raffle how many you would like, so they can set them aside for you. A raffle is a small society lottery, a specific legal category under the Gambling Act 2005, and the organisation has registered it with their local council.

How do I pay, and how do I collect them?

You pay the organisation running the raffle directly when you collect your tickets. The raffle page and your email say how that works for this raffle, often collecting from a point they name. If anything is unclear, the organisation can tell you.

Is there a fee on my raffle ticket?

No. There is nothing to pay online and Stubbs takes nothing. You pay the ticket price to the organisation running the raffle.

How does the draw work, and how do I find out if I've won?

The raffle page shows the draw date once the organiser has set one. The organisation running the raffle draws the winners and contacts them directly, and we don't run the draw or hold the prizes, so any question about the result goes to them.

Is this legal, and who's actually running it?

The organisation running the raffle is the promoter, registered with their local council as a small society lottery, and their registration details are shown on the raffle page. We provide the raffle page; we don't run the raffle or decide the rules, so a question about how it's being run is one for them.
