About Our Christmas Raffle Tickets
Christmas is the biggest fundraising season of the year, and a raffle at the Christmas fair is still the simplest money-raiser there is. I've printed Christmas raffle tickets at Stubbs for 25 years, for thousands of schools, PTAs, churches and clubs, and December is our busiest month by a distance.
Prices: 1,000 Christmas raffle tickets cost £24 in a single colour or £29 in full colour. 2,000 are £33 or £43, and 3,000 are £42 or £57. Delivery is from £7.50 and prices exclude VAT. Every ticket is twice numbered with a perforated tear-off stub and supplied in books of 5, so a helper can sell from a book on the door and the stubs go straight in the drum. When should I order for a December fair?
We dispatch 5 to 6 working days after you approve your proof, and delivery takes 1 to 2 days on top. Allow a fortnight from ordering to be safe. For a fair on the first weekend of December, order by the middle of November. For a fair in the third week, order by the end of November. Later than that, ring us on 01543 410 107 and we'll tell you honestly whether we can make it.
Do I need a licence for a raffle at a Christmas fair?
Usually no. If tickets are only sold at the fair and the draw happens during it, that's an incidental lottery and needs no licence or registration. If you're selling tickets in advance to the public, it becomes a small society lottery, which is a registration with your local council, not a Gambling Commission licence. How many Christmas raffle tickets should I order?
Order about twice what you expect to sell. Christmas fairs sell more than people plan for, and running out on the day costs far more than a spare book or two. Most Christmas fairs order 2,000 or 3,000.
